Oddtober 2024

Well, well, well…guess what time if year it is again friends!? That’s right, it’s spooky season all over again!

And that means it’s time to get ready for our annual Oddtober Daily festivies! So together Priscilla and I have come up with the next installment for our storyline.

Speaking of the storyline, Priscilla had a good point in stating that we could circle the story back around. So instead of ending it on this go-around, we will carry on with the story next year as well! It's going to be kind of fun like a little compilation!

Thank you to everyone who grabbed a journal from this year's collection. And I also appreciate in advance everyone who's going to participate in this challenge I hope that you all enjoy it and have as much fun as we do every year!

Lastly, don't forget just like every year we will be having a giveaway at the end of The Challenge so be sure to stay tuned to see what it will be! And without further adieu here are your prompts.

Another major thank you to Priscilla at ReleasetheCraftin for helping put together the prompts as well as putting together this digital for you to be able to print out!

Have fun and Happy Halloween everyone!

October Daily 2022

Greetings spooky loving friends!

It’s that time of year again where we whip out all of out favorite Halloween crafty items and plug away at the October Dailies! I was fortunate to be able to collaborate with Priscilla of ReleasetheCraftin for the creation of these prompts with you all.

This year the format will be: story-line. So we give you a sentence and descriptors and you can build your page spread around that. So essentially in the end you will have a book that contains your own Halloween story!

Additionally this year the prompts will be shared among different creators so you will get a wider variety of crafters to enjoy!

So we hope you have fun and thank you again to all of the creators who opted in to share their videos and a big thanks to Priscilla as well.

Without further ado, here are your October Daily materials:

Quick Update and Final Prompts for 2022

So sorry everyone for the absence. I have been – well a lot. Between work and small business life, I have also just been coping with life in general and decided to take a bit of a break. So I’d like to apologize for my absence and lack of providing the spooky prompts.

With that said I decided that I would go ahead and get the spooky prompts up for July, August and September now so that they can be up and you can do those at your leisure. We will have our usual prompts for October, which I will announce much later, and no prompts for November or December.

So without further ado, you can get your list of prompts here and I hope you enjoy the remainder. Thank you to those who participated and hung in there with me in this trial!

Happy crafting!

Monthly Prompts 2022 - April Creepy Circus

Welcome back Odd Flock!
So sorry for the delay in this month's spooky prompts! It's been a busy last few weeks so I definitely do apologize. However this month what I had in mind was carnivals and circuses. It kind of came to me because we've had a few warmer days and it just really reminds me of going out and being a child and loving those fairs, festivals, circuses and all those great things we used to do.

So of course since we are doing spooky prompts I would like to implore you to have a spooky take on the 14 prompts for this month. So without further Ado you can get your list of prompt here. Enjoy!

Spring Around Ephemera Challenge

Welcome everyone! It's time to have some fun! Spring is right around the corner and what better way to ring in the blooms and new life than to have a fun crafty challenge. For the month of March myself and six other creators will be creating ephemera using our scraps. And the best part about it is you are invited to join us! Each creator will be creating on their channel on the assigned day using the prompt that is associated to that day. You can see the list of creators and the schedule here. As I mentioned we will also be using prompts and they are all spring related. You can get your list of the prompts here.

I hope you all will join us in this venture that Priscilla has arranged for us to do this month. I think it will be a lot of fun to see what everyone creates. If you decide to join along Please remember to use the hashtag so that we can find your posts. The hash tag that we will be using for this year stop is #springaround22.

If you complete all the prompts and we can confirm it - we will enter you to win a grand prize at end of March. So be sure to include that hashtag! We will announce the details for the grand prize as the month draws to an end. So grab your scraps and join us for this fun ephemera challenge!

Monthly Prompts 2022 - February Creepy Juxtaposition

When time flies it sure does fly! I have been extremely busy lately and apologize for the delay with the prompts for February. For this month I thought it would be fun to change it up a bit and use a set of two words for each prompt. I think this will give you more freedom to use your imagination when creating your pages. I think these prompts will set the creepy tone and allow for some cool juxtapositions.

You can find your prompt list here. Don’t forget to use the hashtag #pobprompts22 !

I hope those of you who are doing these prompts are enjoying them! I think it is a nice lead up to the ultimate prompts we do every October. Take care everyone and have fun creating!

Monthly Prompts 2022 - January Ghostly Folklore

Happy New Year Odd Flock!

Well I can sure tell you that last year really flew by!! But here we are ready to take on a new year with new creativity! A lot of you love our usual October Daily Prompts and requested that we keep the fun up on a monthly basis. So we are going to give it a try this year and see how it goes.

I know that many of us have busy schedules between work and home life and our crafting time is mean to be relaxing - a chance to unwind. So I have designed these prompts to be suited for that! Rather than make it a full month, I have set it up so there will be 14 prompts. I think this will help not feel overwhelmed and easier to catch up if you should fall behind a bit. Additionally the 14 day prompts will stop in October, we will do October daily as normal - and November and December will be free time!

This month we will be focusing on ghost folklore. We have been hearing about widespread and local lore since childhood! Pick your favorite and have some fun! If you wish to share your work, use the hashtag #pobprompts22 so others can enjoy your pages!

So I hope you all will enjoy this new challenge with a fun and stress free setup! You can get your prompts list here. Happy creating my friends!

Best,

April

Prompt Week - December 2020

Oh goodness! You guys, we have finally made it! Can you believe it? It’s December already and we are at the final month of our Prompt Week 2020 extravaganza! If you have made it this far you should feel proud of yourself and I hope that you will look back on the things we did this year and cherish it, despite the wacky circumstances of 2020.

This month, I wanted to do a little bit of reflection, a little bit of fun and a little bit of optimism for what is to come in the future. I know this year has had so many challenges but you made it, you made it through! And all we can hope for from here is a brighter day ahead.

You can find your list of prompts for December here. Enjoy them!

If you stuck with me this long, I would like to extend my thanks to you! While I know there are only a select few of you who share your prompts via social media outlets (and that’s ok), I can see there are hundreds of you who come and download the prompts - and that makes me happy! So thank you for participating and sticking to a year long challenge. Again, be proud of yourselves!

In closing, I would like to wish each and everyone of you warmest wishes for this holiday season.

Be sure to stay tuned, because you never know what direction this Odd Flock of ours is heading into. And until next time….
